Smart Factory mit Smart Lighting bei dem Neubau von Burgsmüller.

When Burgsmüller - a subsidiary of Krauss Maffei (click here to see the case study) - built a new 7,200 m² hall and office space, one thing was required in addition to the already well-known savings in energy costs and CO2 emissions: maximum flexibility in room layout. Because the rooms of the 125 employees should be able to be re-divided according to the project, i.e. flexibly and at regular intervals. For this reason, an efficient method of room planning was already in demand during the planning by SchahlLED.

The continuous-row lighting system with integrated sensor technology derived from Slimline for chilled ceilings produces a powerful brightening of the ceiling, even though the ceiling has not been suspended. This means that the rooms already require less additional lighting. Thanks to the daylight and presence control, in addition to the above-mentioned point, energy costs can be saved between 70 and 85% compared to conventional light sources.

As the rooms are separated at regular intervals and provided with new rigib walls, an optimal and flexible lighting of the rooms is necessary. Thanks to the axial dimension and the luminaires inserted in the grid of the windows, the lighting offers great freedom and a high degree of variability when moving the partition walls.

So if you decide on a new room layout, a new lighting group can be created in a matter of minutes and without any effort to adapt the sensor system to the lamps used. What this means can be seen in the following graphics: Figure 1 shows the initial situation. Six lamps are used in the left room, twelve in the right. If you now move the sheetrock wall, a new group can be adapted in a few minutes and no problems arise with circuits already installed.

In this way, all intelligent lighting systems function optimally at all times - even without having just one switch in the entire office complex.
